Algae is a person who has tried to find peace and spiritual fulfilment in a simple life far from the materialist society of his youth. Yearning for an ideal society is not that uncommon and the many people who attempt to realise their dreams, do so in many different ways. The myriad varieties of our search for perfection in an imperfect world rarely find a satisfactory solution. The collision of different ideals may never be resolved, but its impact can cause a reassessment of the principles that were previously accepted. Is there a point at which someone is unable or unwilling to refine the past? Or is it only the absence of a particular person or situation?
